This Privacy Policy explains how Pinegrass Technologies Pvt Ltd ("Pinegrass", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Ari, our AI money coach mobile application ("the App"), and the aritomo.in website ("the Site").

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

a) Information you provide

  • Account information: name, email address, and a user identifier when you sign up via email/password or Google Sign-In.
  • Financial information: the transactions, budgets, categories, and notes you enter into the App. This is the core data the App is designed to help you manage.
  • Communications: any feedback or support requests you send us.

b) Information collected automatically

  • App activity: interactions with App features, including which screens you visit and which actions you take. Collected via PostHog for product analytics.
  • App performance: crash logs, diagnostic information, and performance metrics. Collected via Sentry to help us identify and fix issues.
  • Device identifiers: a unique device or installation ID used by analytics and crash reporting.
  • Approximate location: city or region-level location may be inferred from your IP address for regional defaults (currency, language). We do not collect precise GPS location.

c) Information we do NOT collect

  • Voice recordings: voice input in the App is transcribed entirely on your device. Audio is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Contacts, photos, messages, calendar, browsing history, health data, or any other data category not listed above.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

  • To provide and operate the App's core functionality (transaction tracking, budgets, AI coaching).
  • To improve the App: diagnose crashes, understand which features are useful, fix bugs.
  • To communicate with you: respond to support requests, send service-related notifications.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not share your financial data with advertisers.

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use the following processors. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Supabase (data storage and authentication)
  • Railway (backend hosting)
  • PostHog (product analytics)
  • Sentry (error monitoring)
  • Google (Sign-In)

These processors handle data on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.

4. DATA RETENTION

We retain your account and financial data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see Account Deletion), all associated data is removed from our active databases within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days before being overwritten.

5. YOUR RIGHTS

You can:

  • Access your data via the App.
  • Edit or delete individual transactions, budgets, and categories.
  • Delete your account (see /account-deletion).
  • Contact us at the email below with any privacy questions.

6. SECURITY

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Data at rest is encrypted by our infrastructure providers. We follow industry practices for access control and credential management.

7. CHILDREN

Ari is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. CHANGES

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email.
